Samba Parade and Sinulog Festival

Have you ever been to Rio de Janiero in Brazil? I have not been there. Every year in Rio de Janiero, folks are celebrating the so called Samba Parade. It is always jampacked by spectators who are eager see the splendid parade and attractive costumes of participants. This is also one of their tourist attractions and give boom to the tourist industry in the country. Wish someday I can go there and enjoy the festivity. The said festival has counterpart here Cebu, which is the Sinulog Festival celebrated every third Sunday of January annually. Watch the videos. Are there similarities?
