Crucifixion

Philippines is the only christian country in Asia. Christianity was handed down by Spaniards during the 400 years of Spanish colonization.

Every year Philippines is celebrating Holy Week, in commemoration of the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. This is part of the tradition already.

Some believers, made a covenant with God, to have themselves crucified on the cross. This is a real crucifixion by letting their palms and feet nailed to the cross. Their head crowned with barbed wire. This sound odd yet this is true.
