Rosh Hashanah
Many of us might ask what is Rosh Hashanah. According to American Heritage Dictionary, Rosh Hashanah is Jewish New Year, observed on the first day or the first and second days of Tishri and marked by solemnity as well as festivity. Rosh Hashanah for 2009 begins at sunset of September 18 and ends at nightfall September 20. Rosh Hashanah is symbolize by a trumpet made of of ram's horn to awaken listeners from their slumbers and alert to the coming of judgment.
I listened to the Speech of President Obama on Rosh Hashanah. Let us reflect on this so we can understand what is Rosh Hashanah.
