2012: END OF THE WORLD?

We had a team bonding last Saturday at Royal Conquers. After we have eaten lots of gourmet foods (imagine eat all you can), my co-agents went to see a movie 2012 but I did not go with them. I have three hundred circus ring on my mind as we separate ways, if they analyzed that the 2012 movie they would see pertains to Mayan prediction that by December 12, 2012, the world will end. I heard from Paeng that there were lots of shouting with all those visual effects and cacophonous sounds at the off beat. Yes, If was with them, I would chill down on my spine. Fear should be the first impulse. It would be a scary feeling to watch a movie of natural destruction and putting yourself in a situation that in an instant you'll be dead. In an instance, I vanished with million of people on the face of the earth. But, what about this Mayan prediction? Does it has really do to with the doomsday wherein the Bible mentioned the time will come to an end.? Where God has lost His patience dealing with His creations because of evil wrong doings, greediness and "inappropriate use of sex?"

Accordingly, the 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of beliefs and proposals positing that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur in the year 2012. The forecast is based primarily on what is said to be the end-date of the Mayan Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012. Arguments supporting this dating are drawn from a mixture of archaeoastronomical speculation, alternative interpretations of mythology, numerological constructions, and alleged prophecies from extraterrestrial beings.

Here is the information about it:

The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years. It will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT.

Are we taking the Mayan prediction literally or seriously? It is end of the world by 2012 at the end of the Mayan calendar? The Mayan apocalypse has been a subject of debates yet no one can prove the authenticity, not even scientist, not even astrologers or the greatest writers of our times. Man's knowledge is limited to grasp the mysteries in our midst.

There has been many predictions and apocalypse(end of the world) in the past citing that the word will end by the prophets of the doom yet the world never ended yet.

In the New Testament, Jesus mentioned that He himself does not know when the time will end. It was only His Father who knows. Yet, He reminded us to be prepared always. When the time comes, He will come down again to judge the living and the dead. Let us braced ourselves to be saved if we believe in the testimony in the Bible, if we believe in the teaching of Christ.
