Taylor Swift receives 5 American Music Awards

Yes, Taylor Swift takes homes 5 awards including Artist of the Year in recently concluded 2009 American Music Awards. The 19-year-old singer also won Favorite Female Artist (Country), Favorite Female Artist (Pop/Rock), Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist and Favorite Album.

Taylor speech when accepting the award:

I just want to say that music has never been ultimately about competition, and to even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson, who we will miss and love forever, is an unimaginable honor and I just want to say, I'm sending my love to the Jackson family and Janet," Swift said in her acceptance speech for the artist of the year award.
